PROGRAMME
Discover the enchanting world of the “Žumberak-Samoborsko gorje” Nature Park, a sprawling sanctuary spanning a generous 342 km².
Cycling stands as not only the healthiest, but also the most exhilarating avenue to traverse this verdant haven. It grants a refreshing and invigorating avenue to traverse vast distances, far greater than what could be covered on foot. Each niche of this lush paradise becomes your personal rest stop, where expansive 360° vistas serve as a constant canvas of breathtaking beauty that unfolds around you. Immerse yourself in the liberating embrace of the outdoors, where the fresh forest breeze gently grazes your face, where you can bask in panoramic splendours, and where you find yourself in harmonious unity with the rich tapestry of sights and scents that this unpolluted natural haven has to offer.
- The tour starts at 10:00 a.m. with a meeting of all participants at the Natrural excursion site on Budinjak, where you will be greeted with a welcome drink and a check of bikes and equipment.
- Departure to the renowned JELENIČ WINERY, located on the picturesque slopes of Kostanjevica on Krka. In addition to the proud tradition of award-winning wines, including the prestigious Cviček, which won the title of the best wine of the region for several years in a row, the winery also preserves a wealth of old varieties of autochthonous wines such as Žuti Plavec and Frankovka.
- We will drive through the wonderful slopes of the Žumberac mountains, we will pass the Slovenian border, wooded paths…
- After a wonderful ride of approx. 25 km, the host will welcome us with a welcome drink.
- Tour of the winery and vineyard, with wine tasting and a nice snack. You can also buy wines at popular prices in the winery, at the wine shop.
- Socializing with the owner, seeing the amazing wine cellar and driving back to Natrural (Budinjak). Washing bicycles and resting at the picnic area. Lunch option at a discounted price for wine tour participants.
